WASHINGTON, Jan 31 (Reuters) - Atlanta Federal Reserve Bank President Raphael Bostic said it was not his preference to raise interest rates by a half a percentage point at the March meeting, and so far he has not changed his expectation for just three quarter-point rate increases for all of 2022.

A 50 basis point hike in March "is not my preferred policy action," Bostic told Yahoo Finance. "I had three rate increases in mind. March is looking like the right time" to get that started. From there, however, "we are not on any set progression."
