The 'Digital Single Market (DSM) Package' launched by the Junker Commission has the ambition to create the conditions for a vibrant digital economy and society.
The Cybersecurity Industry Market Survey and Analysis is part of the activities planned under the DSM and aims to provide the European Commission with information on the needs and opportunities in the field.

The results of the survey will feed into a study covering the market side of the cybersecurity industry. On the same subject the European Commission recently launched a public consultation seeking stakeholders' views on how to best set up a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) on cybersecurity, which will be launched in the course of 2016. The consultation is published along with a Roadmap outlining different policy options that should also help the European cybersecurity industry grow.
