Energomashspetsstal PJSC continues to work on the manufacture of blanks for the reactor equipment of the Akkuyu NPP. The work is carried out under the constant supervision of representatives of the customer - the Nuclear Regulatory Agency of the Republic of Turkey (NRA).
From 21 to 22 January 2021, in accordance with the quality plans, 8 blanks of covers for the steam generators of Unit 3 of the Akkuyu NPP (Turkey) were handed over to the customer.
The blanks have passed a multi-stage quality check by specialists from the central plant laboratory, the technical control department of EMSS PJSC and representatives of the customer, including specialists from the NRA.
During the inspection, the experts checked the results of the ultrasonic examination of the blanks, carried out visual and measuring control of the products, and checked the conservation of the parts. As a result, the commission without comments accepted the products, was signed the documents, which confirming the quality of blanks for covers for the steam generators of Unit 3 of the Akkuyu NPP. Accepted products are prepared for shipment to the customer. The next acceptance of products for Turkish nuclear power plants is planned for the second half of February 2021
Recall that, in 2020 Energomashspetsstal PJSC successfully passed an audit by the Nuclear Regulatory Agency of the Republic of Turkey (NRA), which renewed the certificate of the manufacturer of blanks for the equipment of the Akkuyu NPP (Turkey). The updated certificate No. TR-IMO-001 was issued by Energomashspetsstal PJSC on December 31, 2020 for a period of five years and is valid from January 11, 2021 to January 11, 2026.
The Akkuyu nuclear power plant is being built in the Republic of Turkey on the Mediterranean coast in the Mersin province. The project provides for the construction of four power units with a capacity of 1200 MW each. The design life of the Akkuyu NPP is 60 years, with the possibility of extension.
