School choice supporters will screen a new documentary film and host a town-hall meeting about education reform in Indiana and across the country, organizers announced today.

The event, hosted by the Friedman Foundation for Educational Choice, will be held on Jan. 27, 2014 at 8:00 a.m. at the Indiana Historical Society and is open to the public. It is timed to coincide with National School Choice Week 2014, the nation's largest-ever celebration of expanding educational opportunities.

The event will feature a screening of the 38-minute film, "The Ticket: The Many Faces of School Choice," a new documentary by award-winning filmmaker Bob Bowdon.

The film highlights the changes in the nation's school choice landscape, which has transformed from a collection of individual factions to a movement rallying around empowering all parents with the freedom to decide the right educational choices for their children. It examines school choice options in Los Angeles, Topeka, Kansas City, Chicago, Cleveland, Exton, Pennsylvania, and Rochester, New York.

Following the screening, Bowdon and Robert C. Enlow, the president and CEO of the Friedman Foundation for Educational Choice, will host a discussion on school choice.
