Heil Environmental Industries, a subsidiary of Dover Industries, has selected Healthstat, Inc. to administer and manage an onsite health program for employees and dependents covered under its health benefits plan at its Fort Payne, Ala. facility. The goal is to operate a comprehensive employee health program that will improve physical health and further reduce costs associated with Heil Environmental's health plan. Heil Environmental is the third Dover Industries division to contract with Healthstat for an onsite employee health and wellness program.

Operating more than 300 workplace health and wellness centers nationwide, Healthstat is the country's most innovative workplace health and wellness solution with exclusive rights to a patented patient health engagement and behavioral modification program.

Heil Environmental currently has 1,688 individuals on its health plan who will be eligible to participate in the Healthstat program. A core part of the program is the creation of an onsite health center, which is expected to open within 90 days. The facility will allow plan participants to have access to disease management, health risk counseling, and acute and urgent care. One of Healthstat's primary functions is to identify chronic health issues and prescribe treatment to reduce the risk of serious illness. The result is fewer and less costly insurance claims, which lowers the employer's cost of providing health insurance to its employees. Heil Environmental will cover the cost of employee co-pays at the health center, which means employees save money, too.

Healthstat anticipates that after 36 months, Heil will save $3 in health care claims costs for every $1 it invests in the program. The savings come from the combination of reducing the rising cost of health care services and productivity improvements. Not only does having a health center located at work save time, patient wait times average less than 15 minutes so productivity increases and employees get back to work faster.

Kim Reed, HR Sr. Specialist of Compensation and Benefits at Heil Environmental, said, "Healthstat's onsite program for our sister companies has brought significant cost savings and productivity improvements, which we would like to realize at Heil. We look forward to getting our employees and their families engaged in their personal health and considering the clinic not just a convenience but as an exceptional employment benefit."

Healthstat CEO Crockett Dale said, "Healthstat believes patient health engagement and making positive behavioral change is the key to improving the health and well being of individuals and the companies they work for. We look forward to demonstrating our success in achieving this for Heil Environmental."
