The Jeokgeum-Yeongnam cable-stayed bridge was completed and opened on December 27. The president of Iksan Regional Construction Management Administration, Daelim senior vice president Noh Seung-gyu, and many others attended the opening ceremony. The construction has been completed without any accidents for 12 years since its construction commencement in November 2004.


Opened Jeokgeum-Yeongnam Cable-Stayed Bridge (Palyeong Bridge)

The Jeokgeum-Yeongnam cable-stayed bridge is a short-span suspension bridge that was opened - following Baekya Bridge and Hwatae Bridge - among the 11 marine bridges connecting Yeosu and Goheung, Jeonnam. The opening of the bridge is seen to resolve the traffic inconveniences of island area residents and to serve as the starting point of the Southern Coast Tourism Belt project. * Total length: 3.0km (suspension bridge 1.3km + road 1.7km)
