Glenn Denstaedt named technical director for tire and industrial rubber
Lehigh Technologies, a leading specialty materials company that produces micronized rubber powders (MRP), today announced that Glenn Denstaedt has been named technical director for tire and industrial rubber. Denstaedt brings over 20 years of experience in rubber compounding and materials development to support Lehigh’s rapid expansion of micronized rubber powder into the national and international tire and rubber markets.
“Glenn not only has strong technical expertise working with rubber compounds, but also proven business management experience working with some of the giants of our industry,” says Dr. Alan Barton, CEO of Lehigh Technologies. “His dynamic background will be instrumental in helping Lehigh continue its strong growth delivering low-cost, high-performance micronized rubber powder to the tire and rubber markets.”
Prior to joining Lehigh Technologies, Denstaedt held senior roles in a range of specialty chemicals and performance materials companies. Denstaedt was most recently at Maxxis International, where he served as Section Head, Materials and Testing Development, investigating the properties of rubber compounds used in tires. Previously, he was at Cabot Corporation, where he provided technical service for carbon blacks for the tire market. Prior to Cabot, Denstaedt was senior development engineer at Firestone Tire and Rubber Company, where he developed rubber compounds for passenger tires.

Frank Papp, Lehigh’s retiring technical director and a well-known expert in sustainable tire and rubber compounds, has joined Lehigh’s technical advisory board. Prior to Lehigh, Mr. Papp developed rubber compounds for Continental Tire and General Tire.
