Join Books-A-Million for the first ever stateside Harry Potter Book Night Event! Wizarding enthusiasts of all ages are invited to celebrate J.K. Rowling’s enchanting series at all 215 locations on Saturday, February 3. Festivities begin at 2 p.m. and will include trivia, cosplay, spell classes, magical creatures classes and more. Participating Potterheads will have the chance to earn stamps for their collectable Magical Passports and a vintage Harry Potter poster!

Harry Potter Book Night will be comprised of four stations, each offering guests different opportunities to participate in various activities. Fans can dress as their favorite Wizarding World characters at the cosplay station and demonstrate their knowledge of the Wizarding World at trivia. Everyone is encouraged to bring a wand to learn how to cast spells at the spell class station! Wands will be available in stores for those who would like to purchase one. More sorcery awaits fans at the magical creatures station, where a sorting ceremony and a basilisk chase are just a few of the numerous activities in store.

“The power of J.K. Rowling’s storytelling spans across multiple generations,” said Scott Kappler, chief marketing officer at Books-A-Million. “The anticipated year-long celebration of Harry Potter in the U.S. is finally here, and we invite wizards of all ages to visit their local Books-A-Million to experience the magic of Hogwarts!”

Harry Potter Book Night is one of three Potter-themed events to be hosted by Books-A-Million this year. The other events in this series are 20 Years of Magic, set to take place on Saturday, July 28, and Christmas in the Wizarding World, on Saturday, November 10. Harry Potter Book Night attendees will receive a Magical Passport that will carry them through all three events. Guests are encouraged to save their passports after each event, as prizes will be awarded to those with completed passports.

Harry Potter Book Night is FREE and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to share their spellbinding experiences on social media using the hashtags #BAMYearOfMagic and #HarryPotterBookNight. For more information, visit booksamillion.com/harrypotter.
