LA PAZ, May 9 (Reuters) - Bolivia's economy grew 3.5% year-on-year in 2022, compared with a growth rate of 6.1% in the previous year, the country's President, Luis Arce, said on Tuesday in a television statement.
The country's gross domestic product totaled $44.315 billion, the highest in the history of the Andean nation, Arce said during a broadcast message to the nation marking two and a half years of his term.
Bolivia's GDP growth in 2023 is currently forecast at 4.86%, the president added.
Arce added that his administration is investing over $3.6 billion across Bolivia's industry and economy, aimed at boosting and benefiting producers, artisans, and businesses of different sizes.
