General Manager Wang Hanjun Attends the Promotion Meeting for the Construction of the Technology Innovation Center

On the afternoon of January 2, 2019, General Manager Wang Hanjun attended on behalf of UCD the on-the-spot promotion meeting for the construction of Beijing Enterprise Technology Innovation Center. The event was sponsored by State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of People's Government of Beijing Municipality ( SASAC OF Beijing Municipality), and Xu Qiang, Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and Director of the Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission, and Zhang Guilin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of SASAC of Beijing Municipality, took part.

General Manager Wang Hanjun briefed the leaders on the scheme for the construction of the Urban Green Construction Technology Innovation Center successfully applied for and undertaken by UCD. The overall objective of the Urban Green Construction Technology Innovation Center is to bring together leading personnel from at home and abroad to guide the development of the urban green construction technology, to boost the construction of a standardized green construction system, to build a world-class urban rail transit green construction technology innovation center, to facilitate the science and technology innovation in Beijing, to sustain the 'high-grade, precision and advanced' economic development of Beijing, and to give backing for building China into a powerful country of science and technology innovation. As the most powerful leader in urban rail transit design, UCD will fulfill the construction of the technology innovation center in terms of general key technology research and development, professional platform, IPRS protection, personnel introduction and application, technology transformation and application, technology innovation system reform, etc.

Organized by the Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission, the application for the construction of the technology innovation center went through rounds of selections and appraisals, and ended up with 11 enterprises qualified. Energetically supported by UCD leaders, the Industrialization Promotion Department pushed for the scheme, making UCD one of the first 4 qualified state-owned enterprises. With an intended support for three years in a row, the Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission aims to prompt the enterprises to place technology innovation in a more important position, to guide the enterprises to increase R&D input, to increase the number of trained personnel, to further strengthen university-industry cooperation, to break through key technology bottlenecks, to foster and amass innovation resources, and to organize an operational, opening technology innovation center with a diversified governance structure, so as to enhance the technology innovation capacity on the whole and to advance the innovation of the enterprise operation mechanism.

In the meeting, Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of People's Government of Beijing Municipality signed the Agreement on Strengthening the Construction of the Enterprise Technology Innovation Center with UCD.
