BASILDON Council is working with UK Trade &Investment (UKTI) and Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) to help businesses develop overseas trade opportunities.

A free workshop will be held at Wat Tyler Country Park's Bittern Room in the main building on Thursday 13 February from 9am to 1.30pm.

Councillor Tony Ball, leader of Basildon Council, said:

"This council has made a promise to local people to support local businesses and create opportunity. By facilitating these events we are putting those promises into action and we are now delivering on those promises.

"This is a great opportunity for local firms to learn about how to find the right markets and get started abroad.

"International trade is the key to continued growth. Although trading conditions within the UK remain challenging, the demand for quality British products across the world has never been greater."

The workshop will be presented by Steve Exon, an export consultant who has advised on the Enterprise Initiative Scheme for exporting and business planning.

This interactive event will give you an invaluable insight into exporting so that you can take away a host of must-know tips that will help build your confidence and put you on the pathway to success.
