The Cooperation Plan of the Banco de Portugal for 2021 sets out the cooperation activities scheduled by the Bank with the central banks of emerging and developing countries.

Despite the difficulties posed by the pandemic, 158 initiatives are envisaged for 2021, most of which will be held remotely.

This cooperation involves 39 partner institutions, including multilateral institutions and the central banks of Portuguese-speaking countries, which are the main counterparties for bilateral activities.

The cooperation activities involve nearly all the departments and functions of the Banco de Portugal, most notably in the supervision and financial stability, statistics and human resources domains.
