The Austin Technology Council (ATC) will relocate downtown, sharing space with startup accelerator Techstars in its new offices at 412 Congress Avenue. By increasing proximity to key drivers of Austin's innovation economy, ATC positions its members to better support the technology community through networking, education, and mentorship and expanded access to venture capital and angel funding from inside and outside Central Texas.

"With pioneering brands like HomeAway and Capital Factory, downtown is quickly becoming the geo-center of Austin's tech brand," said ATC President and CEO Julie Huls. "With this move, we're increasing visibility and involvement for our member companies with the dynamic downtown tech scene and the investors and influencers seeking to enter or align themselves with that energy. We're also looking forward to our larger, central location affording us the opportunity to physically bring the community together for more events and strategic meetings."

SXSW Interactive Director Hugh Forrest echoed support for the move, saying, "ATC's new space in the heart of Austin, alongside nationally recognized accelerator Techstars and other innovative startups and businesses in the downtown area, puts the organization and its influential membership in a great place to increase the reach and draw of Austin's technology industry."

ATC plans to occupy the new space by February 1.
