NORTHBROOK, Ill., May 7, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Allstate today recognized 100 of the top high school soccer players in the country for their on-field achievements, naming them as 2019 Allstate All-Americans. These players will join the 150 standout teens previously named to the list after the fall soccer season. These final 100 players will complete the full list of 250 players representative of every state in the country.

Allstate All-America

The top 80 players on the Allstate All-America list – 40 male and 40 female – will be invited to compete in the inaugural Allstate Cup this summer in Orlando, Fla. Both games will be hosted on July 31, with the boys' match kicking off a 12 p.m. ET and the girls' match following at 2:00 p.m. ET. The games will be aired live exclusively on ESPNU and via the ESPN app. The 80 All-Americans who participate in the Allstate Cup will also be honored on the field during halftime of the 2019 MLS All-Star Game presented by Target.

"One of the most exciting things we can do in the sports world is identify future game changers before they become household names and empower them through this recognition," said Pam Hollander, Allstate's vice president of consumer marketing. "As part of our longstanding efforts to support soccer fans and players on and off the field, Allstate is proud to stand alongside our passionate soccer community and honor these young people."

Allstate knows that behind every soccer star is a great coach, so the company teamed up with four U.S. soccer legends to help coach the select group of Allstate All-Americans at the Allstate Cup. Former U.S. women's national team standouts and Olympic gold medalists Julie Foudy and Brandi Chastain will join former Major League Soccer and U.S. men's national team members Taylor Twellman and Brian McBride to coach and mentor these talented high school players.

"I am very familiar with the tremendous amount of focus, work and sacrifice it takes to be an elite player, especially at a young age, and how important it is to have the support of your soccer community," McBride said. "I've always admired the work Allstate does within the sport, and the Allstate All-America initiative is no different. I look forward to encouraging these young players and coaching them through what is sure to be an incredible Allstate Cup experience."

For more than a decade, Allstate has honored its ongoing commitment to the soccer community through various efforts, including field refurbishments, equipment donations, youth clinics and key sponsorships.

In addition to providing news and updates, the @AllstateCup social handles will continue to celebrate these deserving Allstate All-Americans by sharing their unique stories and impressive highlights. Fans are encouraged to visit AllstateCup.com and follow @AllstateCup on social to learn more about the inspiring stories of these players and coaches.

Allstate worked closely with MaxPreps, America's largest high school sports media company, to evaluate all high school junior soccer players across the country and select this prestigious list of both male and female players.
