Alfresco Software, a leading provider of modern Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and Business Process Management (BPM) solutions, has added former OpenText executive Bernadette Nixon to its leadership team as chief revenue officer. Nixon is a top-producing global revenue executive with a remarkable ability to scale companies by listening to customers and employees, analyzing existing operations and leading and building world class sales teams.

Nixon brings over 25 years of global technology sales and marketing leadership experience to the Alfresco team, including a wealth of experience directly in the ECM and BPM markets. She served as senior vice president and general manager of OpenText’s BPM business unit where she was able to impact companies' top and bottom lines by delivering business outcomes through case management and business processes automation. Nixon also spent several years in leadership positions at Metastorm prior to its acquisition by OpenText.

“Bernadette has an exceptional track record in growing global technology companies, specifically in Alfresco’s markets and with other solutions focused on making enterprise organizations more productive,” said Doug Dennerline, CEO of Alfresco. “We are excited to see her put this ability to effectively build and manage inspired teams while driving tangible results in terms of revenue, relationships and strategic positioning to work for Alfresco as we continue to grow around the globe.”

Nixon will build and manage Alfresco’s global sales team to ensure that the best solutions for content challenges, including content management, information governance, processes and collaboration, are available to enterprise customers. She will also oversee Alfresco’s partner program, and will partner with the Chief Marketing Officer on the company’s go-to-market strategy.

“Alfresco’s cloud and hybrid BPM and ECM platforms can help solve many of the problems enterprise organizations are facing when it comes to effectively managing and realizing the true value of their content,” said Nixon. “As the enterprise expands and digital content continues to grow exponentially, finding better ways to collaborate across organizational boundaries, particularly from mobile devices, can be a huge benefit to our customers and prospects.”

Prior to joining Alfresco, Nixon served as president of customer experience solutions for SDL where she led the organization to its position as the leading global customer experience company in the industry, servicing 79 of the top 100 global brands. She previously served in similar roles at CA Technologies, InterQuad and NCR, and also worked at the United Nations in Geneva. Nixon holds a Bachelor of Arts in business studies with a major in marketing from the University of Hertfordshire. She also has completed advanced training in sales methodology, negotiations, account management, management and more.
