Aggreko will provide large-scale power generation and HVAC assistance for the fifty-first anniversary of America’s largest national football championship game taking place in Houston, TX at NRG Stadium on Feb. 5, 2017.

Aggreko equipment will provide climate control for several tented areas and generate additional power for the 71,795 seat stadium. The company will also provide power and climate control services for several marquee events held in conjunction with the big game including: six-time Grammy® Award-winning and Golden Globe® Award-winning actress/singer Lady Gaga’s halftime show, the broadcast and international media compounds, the NFL Alumni party, the Vanity Fair party, Opening Night at Minute Maid Park, Taste of the NFL, and Club Nomadic…a travelling nightclub that will feature Bruno Mars and Taylor Swift. It’s the 27th time Aggreko has been involved in the national football championship game.

“For 27 years Aggreko has provided temporary power and temperature control solutions for the national football championship game,” said Mel Parker, managing director, Aggreko North America. “We are honored to be part of the game and support the many installations required to give spectators an experience they will never forget.”

Aggreko’s major events division, Aggreko Event Services, will provide: 10 MW of temporary power; 2,000 KW of electric heat; engineered cooling solutions for the big game and the surrounding VIP and hospitality venues; a crew of 14 technicians to manage the installation and operations; including hundreds of accessories, panels, transformers and about 200,000 ft. of cable.

The company’s technical experts will monitor the installation via the proprietary Aggreko Remote Monitoring (ARM) – a real-time monitoring and diagnostic service - to ensure everything runs to peak efficiency.

Aggreko is widely known for supporting custom-engineered temporary power and temperature control solutions for large-scale events, such as the Olympic Games, Pan American/Parapan American Games, PGA Tour, Tour de France, Ryder Cup, and FIFA World Cup.
