International stocks trading in New York closed flat on Thursday, as the S&P/BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts held steady at 183.63.
The European index rose 0.3% to 178.83. The Asian index dropped 0.5% to 217.70. The Latin American index declined 0.1% to 189.27, while the emerging-markets index fell 0.7% to 357.32.
Switzerland's Molecular Partners AG was the biggest leader during the session, rocketing 38% to $11.01, and China-based BEST Inc. surged 17% to $2.70. Himax Technologies Inc., which is based in Taiwan, rounded out the top three leaders on Thursday, with shares jumping 17% to $8.65.
Eco Wave Power Global AB, based in Sweden, posted the largest decline, plummeting 26% to $2.21, followed by shares of United Kingdom's Barinthus Biotherapeutics PLC, which cratered 23% to $1.25. Shares of China-based Dunxin Financial Holdings Ltd. cratered 20% to 17 cents.
