International stocks trading in New York largely rose Tuesday.
JD.Com Inc. and Qudian Inc. were among the companies with ADRs that traded actively.
The S&P/BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts rose 1.2% to 165.16. The European index decreased 0.2% to 145.71, the Asian index improved 2.7% to 220.89, the Latin American index rose 3.6% to 208.13 and the emerging markets index increased 3.7% to 373.27.
Class A ADRs of JD.com added 14% to $75.22. The company reported its latest financial results Monday, logging a rise in revenue but lower profit. Revenue and adjusted earnings beat analysts' estimates. Various firms cut their price targets on the company.
Class A ADRs of Consumer finance tech platform company Qudian rose 7% to $1.68. The company reported its latest financial results Tuesday. Revenue fell from a year ago and profit rose.
