In order to improve service quality the VUB bank will have from 5/1/2017 from 6 pm until 9/1/2017 until 7 am a planned technical maintenance of bank systems and therefore several services will not be available. The good news is that payment cards will be fully working. You can withdraw cash from cash machines and pay in stores and on the Internet. Contactless payments by mobile phone or Wave2 Pay will also be available.

During the aforementioned time the following services will not be available:

  • Internet banking, Mobil banking, VIAMO and e-payments
  • Services for corporate clients: Inbiz and Multicash
  • Sending notifications - notifications on executed or unexecuted transaction, on authorisation by payment card and other notifications will not be sent
  • Credit top-up via cash machines
  • Cash deposits in cash machines
  • VÚB website

We would like to notify you that a text message or an e-mail notification (if they are set-up) will not be sent while paying by card. We recommend keeping receipts and confirmations on your transactions during the interruption of operations.

The Call Centre will be available and will provide general information incl. an option to block payment cards. Please contact 0850123000, +421248555970 from abroad, e-mail: kontakt@vub.sk

Moreover, the technical maintenance will also impact the opening hours of our branches. They will be closed on Thursday 5 January at 6 pm and they will be closed on Epiphany Holiday (Friday 6 January) and at the weekend (7 January and 8 January). Please organize your time, so that you can visit a branch before the beginning of maintenance. The branches will be opened again on Monday 9 January according to standard opening hours. Then everything will be working as usual.

In order to prevent unexpected situations we recommend making the following operations on Thursday 5 January before 6 pm:

  • Planned financial transactions
  • Purchases on the Internet via e-payments (credit top-up, online betting, travel tickets...)
  • Credit top-up via cash machine
Payments with future maturity, standing orders and direct debits will be executed as usual at weekends and holidays, i.e. on the following working day after the holiday or weekend.

Important notification: During the maintenance of operations we will not contact you in order to acquire any information on your accounts, telephone numbers, login data, and codes for electronic banking services. Thebank never actively requests such information from its clients.
The planned maintenance of operations is the second and final stage of the process of current bank service quality improvement.
Thank you for understanding and we would like to apologize in advance for any inconvenience.
