Wetzel is a Managing Director at Excalibur Management Corp.
Prior to joining Excalibur, Mr. Wetzel co-founded Hawthorne Associates, Inc., a registered Investment Advisor in ERISA pension assets.
Before Hawthorne, he served as Vice President of Operations for Universal Optical Company where he orchestrated a leveraged buyout from the former parent company Cooper Labs.
Mr. Wetzel began his career with American Airlines and then spent 15 years serving in various operating roles with several companies including Speidel, the O.S.
Walker Company, the Scandia Trading Company, and CB Sports.
He holds a BME from Cornell University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
