CB Richard Ellis Global Real Estate Securities Pty Ltd. (CBRE GRESPL) is the Australian investment management subsidiary of CB Richard Ellis Global Real Estate Securities LLC, ultimately owned by CB Richard Ellis Group, Inc. (NYSE: CBG) in the US. The firm traces their origins to 1773 when Richard Ellis established REI Ltd. in the UK. In 1906 the company that became CB Commercial was founded in San Francisco. In 1998 CB Richard Ellis was created and became the first global real estate services firm when they acquired REI Ltd., the holding company for all Richard Ellis holdings outside the UK. Based in Sydney, CBRE GRESPL was established in 2004 by CBRE Investors as a platform to provide institutional investors with access to the publicly-traded G-REIT market. In addition to Sydney, the firm has offices in North America, Europe, Asia, Australia and the Middle East. Through their dedicated team model and access to their global platform, CBRE Investors has broadened from core-only positions to create a series of complementary strategies positioned along the risk/return spectrum.
