In 1973, Mr. Lyman Dickerson and his partners founded Ecolochem, Inc., a provider of outsourced industrial water treatment services for a wide range of industries including power, refining, chemical, pulp and paper, automotive, electronics, and pharmaceuticals.
From 1973 to 2003, he served as Ecolochems President and Chief Executive Officer.
In November 2003, Ecolochem was sold to Ionics, Inc., in a cash and stock transaction valued at $300 million.
He subsequently became a Vice President of Ionics, with responsibility for Ionics Ecolochem and industrial water divisions.
He also joined the Ionics Board of Directors.
In February 2004, Ionics was acquired by General Electric for $1.3 billion.
Mr. Dickerson is an Operating Partner at Element Venture Partners.
Mr. Dickerson holds an BA from East Carolina University and an MBA from University of Miami.
