Mr. Sands joined Legg Mason in 2003.
Previously he was Senior Vice President and Group Head with First National Bank of Maryland in the Corporate and International Divisions, including a five-year tenure in London, where he was responsible for the Financial Management Group, comprised of Trust, Trust Investments and Private Banking.
He is a Episcopal Diocese of Maryland Investment Committee member.
Mr. Sands received his M.L.A.
from Johns Hopkins University.
