Robert Kane

A founding member of NY Angels with many years experience in technology, Mr. Kane worked as a network security expert at both Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan prior to founding Intrusion Detection Inc. in 1992.
The company created leading edge network security products to identify vulnerabilities on corporate networks.
As CEO he organically grew his 50-employee company by creating award winning products, signing up half of the Fortune 500 as customers and sustaining strong profits.
With a high-growth trajectory, he sold the company to the NASDAQ traded RSA Security, the premier digital security company.
Since then he founded a venture capital company for technology start-ups and is a member of several venture groups.
Mr. Kane graduated from NYU with an M.P.S.
in Interactive Telecommunications, a B.A.
in Journalism & Computers and attended Berklee College of Music.
