Ric E. Abel
Profile
Mr. Abel is a Managing Director of Prudential Capital Group�s Electric Finance group located in Dallas.
He is responsible for managing an 11-person investment staff, and a $5.1 billion portfolio of private placements with more than 100 clients.
Abel oversees the investment in structured and corporate finance for power projects, utilities and electric cooperatives worldwide, with a North American focus.
He joined Prudential in 1989.
He held various positions with Prudential Power Funding Associates before joining Prudential Capital Group in 1996 in the Corporate and Project Workouts group, and then transferred to Dallas to join the Energy and Corporate Finance group as a team leader in 1998.
Mr. Abel received a BA from Hunter College and an MBA from Duke University.
He is currently a member of the Board of Directors for Cleveland Thermal.
