Profile

Prior to joining Prism, Mr. O'Brien served as General Manager, Information Lifecycle Management, for Hewlett Packard.
There, he oversaw a high-growth division responsible for products and services focused on managing and protecting information.
Prior to HP, Mr. O'Brien was founder and CEO of Persist Technologies, a storage service company, which was acquired by HP in 2003.
His success in growing and selling successful start-ups is also evident with eQuaint, where he served as CEO.
eQuaint, also known as SOFTBANK Marketing Solutions, was the first company to develop a common, electronic out-of-the-box start-up experience, which collected new user data on behalf of Microsoft and PC OEMs worldwide.
Naviant purchased the company in 2000.
Mr. O'Brien was also Executive Vice President and General Manager with Ziff Davis/Information Access Company (IAC).
With IAC, he was integral to starting and growing the electronic content provider, which owned electronic publishing rights to over 7,000 publications and earned $300 million in revenues.
IAC was successfully acquired by Thomson Corporation in 1996.
He has been involved, both as a principle and advisor, in private equity events, corporate equity investments and acquisitions for HP, Thomson, Ziff Davis.
Mr. O'Brien graduated with a B.S.
in Business Administration from Merrimack College.
He currently sits on the board of Kiptronic and supports board-related activities for SiCortex.
