Mr. Santoro previously worked with Deutsche Bank, most recently as an advisor to the bank's 'Alternative Capital' group and as consultant to the 'Corporate Investments' division, and in the late 1990s until 2000 as the Global Head of the 'Principal Investment Group', which invested the bank's own capital in growth equity in technology and biotechnology companies throughout the world.
Mr. Santoro was also responsible for the bank's global 'Private Equity Capital Markets' business, which raised capital for private companies and private equity funds at that time.
Previously he held similar positions at Credit Suisse First Boston, Lehman Brothers, and Drexel Burnham.
Mr. Santoro has served on the boards of several companies (both public and private), and is currently chairman of SurfCast, Inc. He is author of the several software patents.
He was the first European Editor for The Red Herring magazine.
Mr. Santoro holds a BA from Columbia University.
