Michel Lacroix

Since June 2000, Mr. Lacroix has served as Regional Director for Desjardins Venture Capital Group in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region.
Before joining Desjardins Venture Capital Group, he was employed by Fédération des caisses populaires du Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean for 26 years, where he held several management posts, including director of financial strategies, director of business services, and vice president finance, credit and administration.
Of particular note is his involvement in setting up venture capital funds, and the widening of Desjardins' scope in the area of company financing.
He was also head of credit authorization and recovery services.
An active member of the community, he has sat on the board of directors of several public organizations and private enterprises such as SOCCRENT.
Notably, he is a past president of the long-term care hospital complex (CHSLD) in Lac-Saint-Jean-est, vice president of the Centre le Jeannois (short and long-term care), and president of the corporation of the cycling circuit Tour de Lac-St-Jean (Vélo-Route des Bleuets).
He holds a certificate in Administration from the l'Université du Québec à Chicoutimi and specialized training from the HEC in Business Administration.
