Michael Bennett

Michael Bennett brings 24 years of experience in the Rent-to-Own (“RTO”) industry encompassing both franchise and corporate operations.
He currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Operations for Buddy’s Newco, LLC (dba Buddy’s Home Furnishings.
Prior to joining Buddy’s, he was Regional Director for Acceptance Now, a division of Rent a Center, in Plano Texas from May to October 2015.
Mr. Bennett served as Vice President of Great Lakes Operations at Aaron’s Inc., a leading omnichannel provider of lease-purchase solutions, from April 2009 to March 2014.
He served on Aaron’s National Advertising Advisory and Strategic Budgeting Committees.
He served on the Board of Directors of the Illinois Rental Dealers Association from 2012 to 2014.
Previously, he served as Director of Operations and minority equity partner of Rosey Rentals LP (dba Aaron’s) from August 2005 to March 2009 before Rosey sold to Aaron’s.
Mr. Bennett previously worked at RentWay Inc. from September 2003 to July 2005 and served as both a Divisional Vice President and Regional Manager.
He began his career in the RTO industry at Rent A Center in August 1993 where he worked as a General Manager until August 1996 and then a Regional Manager until August of 2003.
Mr. Bennett also served on the Board of Directors for the Florida Rental Dealers Association from 2000 to 2003.
Mr. Bennett graduated cum laude and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Webber International University.
