Profile
Prior to Wolf Point, Mr. Schlemmel was a Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of PPM America's Special Investments Group.
He was primarily responsible for the research effort of the PPM Special Investments Funds.
He was then promoted to the head of Public Fixed Income research, responsible for all public bond research including corporate bonds, mortgage-backed securities, U.S.
Treasuries, municipal bonds, and money markets.
Subsequent to that, he was promoted to Senior Vice President and Director of the Public Fixed Income Group.
Prior to PPM America, he worked as a high yield analyst for Allstate Life Insurance Company as well as Lincoln Savings.
Before that he worked for Goldman Sachs as a fixed income salesman and Arthur Andersen as an auditor.
He received a B.S.
in Accountancy, graduating with highest honors from the University of Illinois-Urbana in 1984.
He obtained his Masters of Management degree (M.B.A.) from the J.L.
Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois in 1986.
Ken successfully passed the CPA exam in 1984 and is a member of the AICPA.
In addition, he is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the Investment Analysts Society of Chicago.
