ModPro AB is a holding company that develops novel proprietary concept for recognition and binding of proteins in vitro and in vivo. It is a biopharmaceutical company that designs and produces synthetic binders for proteins for applications in diagnostics, drug development, molecular imaging, and for protein purification. Its technology combines small organic molecules, or "hot spot" mimics with polypeptides from a designed set to form powerful binders for proteins. Its concept is unprecedented and analogous with protein surfaces involved in protein-protein interactions. The company was founded by Lars Harald Baltzer in 2002 and is headquartered in Uppsala, Sweden.
