Dr. Jessica Wright is Research Editor at Simons Foundation.
Before joining the Simons Foundation in 2010, she worked as a postdoctoral associate in the laboratory of Dr. George Cross at Rockefeller University, where she studied the parasite Trypanosoma brucei, gaining first-hand experience with whole-genome sequencing and analysis.
Dr. Wright has an undergraduate degree in molecular biology and biochemistry from Wesleyan University and a Ph.D.
in biological sciences from Stanford University.
Her thesis work there combined two previously unrelated fields: nuclear transport and prion biology.
