Initiative & Finance Investissement SA (I&FI) is the French private equity subsidiary of Luxembourg-based Financière Figaro SARL. Established in 1984, the firm was formerly part of the buyout financing arm of Natixis Private Equity. In 2011 they underwent an MBO and became independent. They subsequently were acquired by Financière Figaro SARL. Located in Paris with an office in Lyon, I&FI consists of a portfolio of private equity investments, and operates in close relationship with Initiative & Finance Gestion. Since their 1988 round of fund raising, I&FI has been reinvesting their returns.
