Prior to joining Swank in 2008, Mr. Pabst was a Vice President at Altegris Investments, responsible for managing relationships with institutional investors.
Before that, he was a partner at the Santa Barbara Market Neutral Fund, a hedge fund of funds.
Previously, he co-founded and co-managed a venture capital fund and a crossover hedge fund that invested in both private and public companies.
He began his career at Kidder, Peabody in the institutional sales department, and spent a combined 15 years at Kidder and then Merrill Lynch, where he became Director, Western Region Institutional Fixed Income Sales.
Mr. Pabst received his BA in Economics from Grinnell College.
