Brian Hendry, Senior Vice President of MMV Financial Inc., is responsible for business development, originating new opportunities, and structuring and closing transactions.
Brian brings extensive experience in the finance and technologies sectors with over 20 years in Toronto, Vancouver and Ottawa.
Prior to joining MMV Financial, he was in investment banking for eight years, most recently with Brant Securities Limited of Toronto where he conducted financing and M&A transactions with early stage technology companies across Canada.
Before entering investment banking, Brian was the Chief Financial Officer of Autoskill International Inc., an early stage, venture-backed educational software company, for two years.
He was instrumental in securing financings, managing operations under tight financial constraints, preparing SR&ED filings, and negotiating reseller agreements.
Brian was a Manager in the Strategic Consulting Group of Price Waterhouse for three years where provided financial analysis and advice on major infrastructure financing projects and treasury management assignments.
He was an author and speaker on treasury management and public-private partnerships.
Brian's experience includes managing client relationships at two prominent Canadian financial institutions.
He was an account manager for a portfolio of mid-size multinational companies for Bank of Montreal for four years.
Prior to Bank of Montreal, Brian spent three years at Export Development Corporation where he marketed export insurance and loans services to Canadian exporters.
Brian has an M.B.A.
from the University of British Columbia, a B.
Comm.
(Honours) from Queen's University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
