The court also awarded interest on compensatory damages (to be added to the 236.9 million USD) at the New York State statutory rate of 9%, accruing from January 9, 2018.

TriZetto has been ordered to file a letter by April 10 indicating whether it accepts the reduction in punitive damages. Furthermore, the parties have been directed to confer and submit a proposed final judgment by the same date.

This ruling marks a new stage in the litigation initiated in 2015 between Syntel and TriZetto, prior to Atos's acquisition of Syntel in 2018. The Group will now conduct a more detailed analysis of the decision and reserves the right to appeal.

The French IT services group further confirms that this decision has no significant adverse impact on its assets, operations, liquidity, or financial position.
