Mr. Eglash’s experience includes general management, product marketing, and a strong technical background in materials, semiconductors, and fiber-optic components and subsystems.
Before joining Worldview in 2001, Mr. Eglash was Vice President at SDL (acquired by JDSU).
While at SDL, Mr. Eglash managed efforts in 980-nanometer pump lasers, printing and graphic arts, optical amplifiers, and industrial lasers.
Prior to this, Mr. Eglash worked as a research scientist at MIT Lincoln Laboratory.
Mr. Eglash is a frequent speaker at conferences such as the Photonics Market Opportunities Forum at SPIE’s Photonics West.
He is the two-time chairman of the OSA’s Executive Forum at the Optical Fiber Conference.
Mr. Eglash is also involved in humanitarian projects such as the Tech Museum Awards for Technology Benefiting Humanity and the Global Social Benefit Incubator at Santa Clara University.
Mr. Eglash received a Ph.D.
and M.S.
from Stanford University and a B.S.
from the University of California at Berkeley, all in Electrical Engineering.
