Capital Bank is an active manager which performs in-house fundamental research to identify and assess leveraged finance investment risks and opportunities. The firm seeks credit-oriented value opportunities especially in the leveraged finance, distressed, CDO and debt-oriented private capital spaces, often in smaller issues and complex or seasoned structured credit. They do not have a special geographic focus, although most of the transactions they analyze are domiciled in the US and Europe.

Their investment process primarily relies on asset allocation following a top-down process based on in-house quantitative research.
