Mr. Paul A.
Speargas, CFA MBA, is a Chief Investment Officer & Senior Financial Advisor at WMS Partners LLC.
He is also the Principal, Shareholder & Investment Committee Chair at the firm.
In his role as Chief Investment Officer, he guides the long-term investment vision, philosophy and strategies for the firm’s clients.
He has focused his career on working with high-net-worth individuals and multiple generations of families, and directly leads a number of the client engagements.
He is also a member of the firm’s Management Committee and Board of Directors.
Mr. Speargas is on the Board of Trustees of The Odyssey School, where he serves as Chair of the Investment Committee.
He is also on the Board Quality Committee for the Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC).
He is also a member of the Loyola Blakefield Alumni Board.
Prior to joining WMS Partners, Mr. Speargas was a Senior Portfolio Manager at Mercantile Investment and Wealth Management.
Before that, he worked as a Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Bank of America's Private Bank and its predecessors.
He is also a former Board Member at Mother Seton Academy.
He has a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance, from Loyola University.
He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder and an active member of The CFA Institute and the Baltimore CFA Society.
