Kate Dykstra

Ms. Kate Dykstra is a Director at AVAC Ltd. Ms. Dykstra is senior counsel with Parlee McLaws LLP.
She received her Master of Laws degree from the University of Alberta in 2000.
Her practice is primarily focused on advising companies in a wide range of transactional and financing issues.
Her clients include startup entities, corporations with international offices, and Aboriginal and Metis groups.
She has also acted for professional sports teams and other major enterprises, particularly in the areas of marketing, licensing, and financing having spent three years as general counsel to the Edmonton Oilers, the Edmonton Trappers, and a major corporate group.
She was past Chairman of the Board of Directors of NAIT.
In 2005, she was awarded the Alberta Centennial Medal, which pays tribute to Albertans who have made an outstanding contribution to the province.
