Karen Hein is a Director of the Consumers Union of United States, Inc. and Clinical Professor of Pediatrics, Epidemiology and Social Medicine for the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Previously, she was Executive Officer of the Institute of Medicine from December 30, 1994 to June 30, 1998 and a Member of the Senate Finance Committee Staff from l993 to l994.
Dr. Hein received an undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin in l966 and an MD from Columbia University in 1970.
