James Lau

Mr. Lau joined American Capital in 2005.
His experience in financial services includes leveraged finance, middle market banking, real estate acquisitions and alternative investments.
Previously, Mr. Lau was a Director at Banc of America Securities, LLC, where he managed a portfolio of principal investments in externally managed CDO funds.
In prior years with various institutions, he managed portfolios of leveraged loans and private equity co-investments focused on LBO transactions with select financial sponsors, as well as traditional middle market bank loans.
Mr. Lau earned his bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Northeastern University, and his MBA from the Johnson School at Cornell University.
