Mr. Horace Carter is a President & Head of Fixed Income Capital Markets at Raymond James & Associates, Inc. He joined Raymond James in April 2012 as Head of Fixed Income Trading when Morgan Keegan & Co., Inc. was acquired by Raymond James.
He currently serves as Head of the Fixed Income Capital Markets division of Raymond James.
He oversees the fixed income division’s sales, trading, underwriting and research operations, which provide support for institutional and retail financial advisors.
When he was head of Fixed Income Trading, he was responsible for supervision of all institutional and retail traders, in addition to oversight of risk management of all fixed income inventories.
Mr. Carter began his career with Morgan Keegan in 1993 as a Trading Assistant and moved up to various trading positions including SBA, government guaranteed Trading Manager, Corporate Trader, Government/Agency Trader, and Dealer Sales Manager.
He holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of the South.
He is a member of the Securities and Exchange Commission: Fixed Income Market Structure Advisory Committee and Bond Dealers of America Co- Chair Taxable Income Committee.
