Mr. Gow joined Gleacher & Co. Securities on its June 2010 formation, the merger that took place between Broadpoint.Amtech Equity Capital Markets and Broadpoint.Gleacher Securities.
Before that, he was AmTech’s software analyst for two years, earning Starmine award for top stock picker in 2003.
Previous AmTech, he was Vice President of Research at SG Cowen where he covered various software sectors.
Prior to Cowen, he was a senior software industry analyst with Aberdeen Group.
Before working on Wall Street, Mr. Gow served in the U.S.
Army with the 25th Infantry Division, where he led the company sniper team and won battalion Top Sniper and Top Sniper Team awards.
He also used to be a serious road cyclist, winning the Arizona State Championships as a junior racer and twice attending selection camps at the U.S.
Olympic Training Center.
Mr. Gow earned his Masters in Business Administration with beta gamma sigma honors from the University of Maryland and was a scholarship recipient from the Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship.
He earned his B.A.
in Art History, summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from SUNY-Buffalo.
