Alex Durrer

Alex Durrer is a Principal and head of Economic Research at LGT Capital Partners Ltd.
Before joining the firm in 2001, Mr. Durrer was a financial officer and senior economist at Swiss Re.
His professional interest in inflation-linked bonds, as well as insurance-linked securities, was a key factor in their early inclusion in the Princely Portfolio (GIM).
As LGT’s chief economist, Mr. Durrer is responsible for the economic research publication, Investorama, and has presented and authored LGT‘s economic outlook for over ten years.
He received a PhD in Economics and Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen.
