Whirlpool SA, formerly Multibras SA Eletrodomesticos, is a Brazil-based company engaged in the production, marketing, import and export of electronics and home appliances. The Company manufactures refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, ice machines, stoves, dishwashers, garbage disposers, trash compactors, vacuum cleaners, washing machines, clothes dryers and microwaves, among others. It also produces electric motors and hermetic compressors for refrigeration. In addition, the Company offers installation, technical assistance and maintenance services for its products. It operates four plants and two distribution centers in Brazil, as well as two plants in China and one distribution center in Argentina. The Company's subsidiaries include Whirlpool Eletrodomesticos AM SA, Consorcio Nacional Brastemp Ltda, BUD Comercio de Eletrodomesticos Ltda and Mlog Armazem Geral Ltda, among others.
