SOMAR CORPORATION is a Japan-based company engaged in the high functional materials business, environmental materials business and food materials business. The Company has three business segments. The High Functional Material segment is mainly engaged in the manufacture and sale of films and other coating products, electrical insulation resins and other high functional resin products, circuit board materials and other electronic materials, as well as heat curable resins and other functional resin products. The Environmental Material segment is mainly engaged in the manufacture and sale of industrial fungicides and other fine chemicals, as well as paper coating binders and other paper manufacturing chemicals. The Food Material segment is mainly engaged in the manufacture and sale of thickener, stabilizer, dehydrated vegetables and food ingredients. The Company is also engaged in the golf courses operation business, real estate rental management business, and insurance agency business.
