National Petroleum Company PLC is a Jordan-based company, which is engaged in oil and natural gas exploration, drilling and production activities. The Company produces, stores and transports oil and natural gas, as well as trades in oil and natural gas resources locally and internationally. The Company operates in Risha Gas Field, which is located more than 300 kilometers east of the capital, Amman, near the Iraqi border. The Company owns and operates a number of drilling rigs, materials and supply warehouses, as well as a number of supporting drilling equipment. The Company sells its natural gas products mainly to the Central Electricity Generating Company. It also conducts seismic survey, and offers drilling services through contracts to local and foreign oil exploration companies. The Company operates domestically, in Jordan.
