Metro Holdings Limited is a Singapore-based property investment and development company. Its principal activities of the Company are those of management and holding companies, retailers and department store operators, property investment and developers. Its segments include property investment and development as well as retail. The property segment is involved in the leasing of shopping and office spaces owned by the Company and investing in property-related investments. The retail segment is involved in the business of retailing and operating departmental stores. It has interests in approximately 802,000 square meters of prime retail and office investment properties in gateway cities in China, such as Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chengdu, as well as Singapore, London and Australia; six purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) properties in the United Kingdom, with 902 beds; and over 249,000 square meters of residential and mixed-use development properties predominantly held for sale.
