Maskeliya Plantations PLC is a Sri Lanka-based company. The Company is engaged in the cultivation, manufacturing, and sale of black tea, and planting of timber. The Company has also commenced the plantation of rubber, cinnamon, fruits, and coffee. It is engaged in the production of tea, which is the single business segment. Its geographical segments include Maskeliya, Upcot, Talawakelle, and Bandarawela. The Company manages approximately 18 estates, covering a total area of 85 hectares. It has five estates each in the Upcot and Maskeliya zones, four in the Talawakelle zone, and four estates in the Uva tea sector within the Bandarawela zone. Maskeliya Plantations operates over 15 tea processing centers, utilizing two manufacturing systems: the Leafy Orthodox system and the Rotorvane system. Its estates include Brunswick, Glentilt, Glenugie, Mocha, Strathspey, Brownlow, Hapugastenne, Laxapana, Moray, Mousakelle, Ferham, St. Clair, Troup, Ampittiakande, Craig, Leangawella, and Poonagalla.
